I keep getting told to take it easy, which I think I’d be good at if I didn’t have two kids to take care of. Fortunately, my mom was here earlier giving me a hand and got Finn to nap. Both of them were asleep at once! It was really magical. Instead of taking that time to clean or do one of a million things that keeps running through my mind, I watched the office and did my makeup for the first time since Max was born. I’m not usually a lipstick person (it always smears and wears off no matter what), but knowing I’m not going anywhere seemed a good time to play around. Now, we’re watching nightmare before Christmas bc that’s Finn’s current #1 jam and who am I to deny him simple pleasures (especially if it means he’ll be chill for an hour and a half)? My bruised up insides can’t take more excitement than that anyway.
